Competition Guidelines
- Must be a local member of the Texas North Plains Chapter of the National Kitchen and Bath Association as of February 25, 2026
- Submit professional photography (300 dpi or more)
- Project(s) submitted must have been completed between July 1, 2024 and July 12, 2026
- Project(s) may not have been previously submitted for a KABA in the same category. Submissions to other organizations' awards (ie., Coty, Star Awards, etc.) are eligable.
- Enter project into the one category for which it is best suited based on size and style (judges will have the discretion of changing categories as they see fit)
- Entries must be submitted by August 12, 2026 with fee(s) included
- All identifying business/designer/client information must be omitted, removed, or blacked out from all photographs, floor plans, elevations and design statements
- The entrant must be the main designer/firm on the project. There is a maximum of two co-designers for each project.
- Disqualified entries will NOT be refunded
Winner Recognition
- Winners will be announced at our Annual Kitchen + Bath Month event on October 21, 2026
- All entries will be displayed at our Annual Kitchen + Bath Month event
- All entries will have the opportunity to include an item into our Kitchen + Bath Month swag bag
- Winners will receive a tangible award
- Winning project photographs will be featured on our chapter website
- Winning designers will be shared on all our social media platforms
- Overall winner with the highest judges' score will receive a $1000 prize
Entry Requirements

- Design Statement (250 word max)
- Design Statement Condensed Version to be read at awards ceremony if won (2-3 sentences)
- Client wants & needs (bulleted format encouraged)
- Challenges & solutions (bulleted format encouraged)
- Floor Plan (DIMENSIONED)
- Elevations (DIMENSIONED) - one minimum
- Up to 10 supporting documents. These can be perspectives, mechanical plans, mood boards, before plans, etc. (optional)
- Photos: CANNOT portray any company names or logos, home addresses, or visible faces
- Before picture(s)
- Professional photographs not required
- If new build: try to create picture/image of “original architect plans”
- After picture(s), 300 dpi in .jpg or .png format
- Designer headshot, 300 dpi in .jpg or .png format
- Signed Documents:
Ensure that designer and/or company names/logos are NOT included on any form except where specifically requested
